Nsefu Camp

On a sweeping bend of the river, 12 kilometers north of Tena Tena, lies Robin Pope's Nsefu. This was the first camp in Zambia, dating back to the early fifties. The camp affords a superb view of the river, including a terraced area where game grazes during the day.

The bar, tucked in beside a huge extinct termite mound, overlooks a waterhole that teems with game.

The six original rondavels have been extended to add spacious bathrooms with showers and flush toilets. All six have clear views of the river, through large windows and from wooden verandas.

The camp lies in the heart of the undeveloped Nsefu Sector.

Why we like it

Nsefu is the original Luangwa Bushcamp with unique charm and cosy comfort. Situated in a prime wildlife area, you can walk and drive from camp. Great for birding in the right season.
