Virunga Lodge is set on a stunning hillside with breathtaking views of the Virunga volcanoes and Lakes Ruhondo and Bulera. Virunga Lodge consists of eight large, private bandas. There is no running water but there are wonderful hot bush showers to revive you after your gorilla tracking.

Aside from gorilla tracking, clients can climb the Visoke or Karisimbi volcanoes, track the golden monkey, visit the remains of the Karisoke Centre which Dian Fossey set up, or go for gentle strolls around the picturesque villages near the lakes. Virunga Lodge is situated just three hours drive from Kigali or a long day's drive from Kampala.
