Vina Tarapaca is a charming country house set in the middle of the Tarapaca Vineyard, which produces mostly red Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon under the Tarapaca label.

The house has 12 spacious rooms beautifully decorated all with en-suite bathrooms. Surrounding the house is a 10 hectare ornate garden with lawns, fountains and exotic palm trees. As well as Vina Terapaca's swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court and golf course they will also arrange horse excursions or for those more excited by the vineyards you can explore their extensive cellar and wine museum where wine tasting sessions are not unusual.

To get to Vina Terapaca, an hour south of Santiago, the road winds through interesting small villages crossing over the Maipo River and the last part of the journey skirts the side of green hills with a view for miles overlooking the whole valley before arriving at the hidden seclusion of the vineyard itself.
