Venezuela Holidays
Watching the water tumble a kilometre to the jungle floor below was breathtaking. Our twin propeller rose above the towering tepui and a beautiful canyon opened out ahead of us. There in the distance thundering to the ground below we could see Angel Falls. Our pilot flew us right by and circled. The scale of this natural wonder was incredible, and I thought then what a privilege it was to experience this lost world, and what a truly beautiful country Venezuela is. Introduction to Venezuela
Venezuela is a contrasting and exciting country. Within its borders are a remarkable number of features including the highest waterfall in the world, the largest lake in Latin America, the longest and highest cable car in the world, numerous national parks and miles of unspoilt Caribbean beaches.
Sandwiched between Colombia and Guyana, it can be divided into four distinct zones: the Caribbean Coast, the Northern extremities of the Andes, the low lying plains of the Llanos and the rainforest of the Orinoco and Amazon basins.
