Stretching from Nicaragua to Panama, Costa Rica's Caribbean coastline can be divided into two distinct sections, but both offer abundant wildlife, pristine rainforest and plenty of activities for the adventurous. The canals and rivers of Tortuguero are a study in rainforest, freshwater and marine biology and notably one of the world's major nesting sites for the Atlantic Green turtle. Cahuita, on the other hand, is the birth place of the country's Afro-Caribbean culture, where reggae rhythms are heard and the pace of life is easy going. Sunbathing, swimming, surfing, fishing and snorkelling will fill your days.
Laguna is surrounded by the Caribbean on one side and lagoons and canals on the other. The lodge is small and cosy and has a very peaceful environment.
