The Reserva Amazonica is the perfect spot for exploring the Peruvian Amazon. The lodge has 41 large native thatched cottages; all have private facilties, mosquito nets and hammocks for you to enjoy the views of the jungle. You will be met at the airport and transferred by bus and then boat to the lodge.
Your stay at the Reserva Amazonica includes many optional excursions including a full day to explore Sandoval Lake by boat to see Cranes, Macaws and many other types of flora and fauna. Dawn visit to see the Parrots at the Collpa, a visit to a local farm to observe the variety of Amazon produce and an opportunity to taste local tropical fruit. In the evenings, 3 nights per week the Reserva hold slide shows, where scientists pass on their experiences of the local plants and wildlife you may encounter at Reserva Amazonica. Or maybe a visit to the butterfly house or an evening party around a campfire might appeal. For an additional cost canopy climbing and dinner with star gazing over the lake can be arranged.
