On a totally private spit of land overlooking the ocean, separated from the rest of the world by a salt water creek, stands Elsewhere. Four simple but charming houses located on a beach where the only other footprints to be seen are those of fishermen and turtles. 'Elsewhere' must be one of the most idyllic locations to be found. Access to the beach houses are via a private, bamboo footbridge across the creek that separates the beach from the rest of the world. There can be a no more beautiful location.

All the 4 houses sit directly on the beach facing the sea. They are built in a traditional style with thick cool walls, shuttered windows, cool natural flooring, and lofty terracotta tiled sloping roof. The furniture is an eclectic mix of traditional and rustic. They all have a delightful open sitting area to watch the sea by day and the stars by night. Muslin draped across hand-made bamboo four posted beds, pastel wooden shutters, barefoot dining with feet in the sand, the sound of waves to lull you to sleep.

The properties are 19th century Portuguese villas that are the ancestral homes of the current owner Mr Denzil Sequeira. Lovingly restored in 2006 they offer accommodation that sits directly on the beach. It is utterly romantic.

The Houses are available for rent for a minimum period of one week. For a larger party wanting a beach hideaway all 4 houses can accommodate 20 people, and additional children may share with parents if required.
