Tassi lodge, a scenic one hours drive from Loango Lodge, is situated on top of an ancient beach with 360° views onto endless beach, savannah, forest and swamp. This diverse habitat ensures that most of the common wildlife can be seen all year and forest elephant, forest buffalo, red rives hog and sitatunga can be regularly sighted from the camp itself.

The Tassi area is a great ape habitat and research project camp. There is a healthy population of lowland gorillas and chimpanzee. In the long term it is expected that visitors will be easily able to visit these shy and elusive primates. While at the same time allowing researchers to gather data on all aspects of their behaviour and ecology.

At Tassi you will get the classical Africa feel, very rare in Central Africa. The five-tented platforms, each sleeping two people are spread along the ridge each with their private bathrooms and bucket shower. There are Bamboo torches, which light the way to each tent at night
