Suyan Camp Suyan Camp

Suyan Suyan interior
An intimate (5 guest tents) safari camp with wide and breathtaking views of the spectacular surroundings. All the Tents have comfortable en-suite bathrooms with portable flush toilets and bucket showers. After activities, guests gather at the fire place, sundowner spots and the common dining and library tents. Fly camping is an excellent option to explore the stunning, wild Loliondo land into great depth or to simply to enjoy a night of private camping under the Serengeti skies. Suyan Camp works especially well at the end of a safari and is a great complement to Sayari or Olakira Camp. The Serengeti eco-system is much larger than the Serengeti NP land and includes the game controlled areas bordering the parks. Loliondo is the spectacular, wild, Maasai inhabited area east of Serengeti NP and north of Ngorongoro. Animals roam around freely in this land due to the absence of fences between parks and bordering areas and the area is known for its spectacular natural beauty. Suyan Camp operates in these areas through partnership agreements with the villages of Piaya and Soit Sambu. *Piaya is located in southern Loliondo, directly north of the NCAA and east of the Serengeti with easy access to Ngorongoro (access to Serengeti NP via Ngorongoro). The large concession area offers stunning landscapes with the Gol Mountains and the deep Sanjan Gorge, unspoilt Maasai culture, ancient rock paintings and excellent possibilities for walking.

Parts of Piaya have good resident game and the Migration moves into the area when it rains. Lucky guests can encounter the rare wild dog ("Suyan" means "wild dog" in Maasai). *Soit Sambu is a large concession located in the northern Loliondo area. Located some 30 minutes outside Klein's Gate, Suyan Camp in Soit Sambu has excellent access to the Serengeti. The view from Suyan Camp, overlooking the Serengeti is breathtaking. Soit Sambu's scenery is truly spectacular, with green hills, olive tree forests and small Maasai settlements. The area has good resident game and offers great opportunities for walking safaris, game driving and it offers the opportunity to learn about the intriguing Maasai culture. Activities include game driving in and outside the parks, guided walking safaris (nature, culture, wildlife), Maasai cultural experience, night game driving, fly camping, sundowners, picnic lunches.
