What has been your favourite travel experience?
I have been lucky to have a few but one of my favourites is a wild penguin encounter and being so excited when he pecked at my camera strap.
The best hotel/lodge that you have stayed in?
Kewarra Beach, Australia while renewing our 25th wedding vows on the beach. Probably the most romantic and relaxing hotel I have ever visited.
What has been your most remote travel experience?
Zodiac cruising in Antarctica.
Most embarrassing travel experience?
Grounding my kayak in the Galapagos Islands and having to be rescued by the captain with all the crew and passengers watching....then having to relive the entire experience on video during the evening round-up!
Your one luxury when you travel?
Apart from my camera, face moisturiser, a book and a notepad. I obviously can’t do one luxury!
What’s your best piece of travel advice?
Just enjoy the adventure, and go with the flow. If things do not turn out as planned – it is all part of the wonderful experience of travel.
Where you would like to visit next and why?
Having been to Antarctica I would love to visit Spitsbergen and see Polar Bears.
