Akademik Sergey Vavilov

The Akademik Sergey Vavilov was built in Finland for the Russian Academy of Science in 1989 and was designed to be exceptionally stable, manoeuvrable, fast, quiet and functional like her sister ship the Akademik Ioffe.

With very quiet engines and sophisticated stabilisation system this is the ideal option for longer voyages. The cabins for 92 passengers vary in facilities and size but all have ample space for equipment and storage. All passengers are provided with a full set of wetskins and wellington boots on loan for the duration of the voyage which can be stored in the large mud room rather than your cabin. She carries a fleet of 10 zodiacs and has a bar and lounge on deck 6 with 180 degree view.
