The tour has been designed to give you an insight into the textiles of both Guizhou and Yunnan as well as having an opportunity to view the evocative landscapes of both provinces. This will be a unique opportunity to see several minority groups including the Miao, Dong, Yi, Yao, Zhuang and of course the Han people. This tour aims to show you the changes that have come about in the life style and the
textiles of the minority people living in less developed regions of Guizhou Province and contrasting them with the more highly developed areas of Yunnan.

Gina has concentrated on organising special interest tours for the past 30 years, is author of the Guizhou Guide and her collection of Miao costumes and related documentation and photographs have been purchased by the British Museum. She has studied the textiles of Guizhou for over 17 years. She is also a photographer and has earned a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society.
