Leopard Hills

Sitting atop a rocky outcrop and towering over the plains of the Sabi Sands, Leopard Hills looks out over the Mabrak River and towards a well-frequented waterhole. A huge area comprising a diverse range of ecosystems surrounds the camp, with a rich array of wildlife populating this vast expanse.

The lodge lies in the western sector of the Sabi Sands Reserve, which borders the Kruger National Park.

Eight glass-fronted suites spread outwards from the camp's reception, each afforded privacy and spectacular views of the landscape below. Private verandas adorn the front of the suites, with a relaxing plunge pool recessed into the smooth timber. Air conditioning cools the interiors, whilst the en-suite bathrooms feature both indoor and outdoor showers.

The main lodge is beautifully appointed - pale colours contrast wonderfully with rich wooden decorations. An extensive library offers literary stimulation and an open-air deck provides the perfect setting to sample the camp's fantastic cuisine.

WHY WE LIKE IT

Alongside this luxurious setting, Leopard Hills offers a fantastic wildlife-viewing experience. Game drives allow for up-close encounters with big cats, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. Walking safaris provide a different perspective, getting closer and more intimate with the reserve’s habitat and inhabitants. Spot leopard tortoises, watch rhino beetles at work and admire colourful lilac-breasted rollers.
