This tiny former kingdom, landlocked by Nepal to the west, Bhutan to the east and Tibet to the north, has a culture that is very similar to Bhutan but with the added advantage of some magnificent views of the Himalayas and in particular Mount Kangchengunga which can be seen at breathtakingly close quarters.
