This tiny former kingdom, landlocked by Nepal to the west, Bhutan to the east and Tibet to the north, has a culture that is very similar to Bhutan but with the added advantage of some magnificent views of the Himalayas and in particular Mount Kangchengunga which can be seen at breathtakingly close quarters.

In this region of pristine and natural beauty, Sikkim offers a rich biodiversity of high altitude lakes, dramatic trekking terrain, ancient monasteries and an overwhelming number of different species of flora making it a botanists paradise.
