The sister camp to Jack's camp, San Camp lies on a grass covered bay that overlooks the endless white salt sea of the extinct Makgadikgadi pans super lake and directly adjoins the national park. San Camp is smaller than Jack's Camp with a slightly more rustic feel to it.

A maximum of 12 guests are accommodated in white canvas tents on slightly elevated wooden platforms. The tents are similar to those of Jack's camp but decorated in a simpler and more minimalist style, each tent has en-suite facilities with bucket showers and 'bush' toilets. These well-decorated tents, furnished in traditional East-African 40's style provide an oasis of civilisation in the harsh, stark environment of the Makgadikgadi pans. The simple mess tent at San Camp is situated on the edge of the salt pan allowing guests to enjoy their meals in these beautiful surroundings. The unimposing position of the camp allows guests to view the animals unique to this area including, gemsbok, brown hyena and springbok in their natural habitat.

Activities are intended to give guests a wonderful holistic understanding of the Kalahari and all its inhabitants. They include game drives in 4x4 vehicles to view the incredible seasonal wildebeest and zebra migrations, amongst other wildlife, and quad biking over the saltpans in the dry winter months. In addition there are walks with San Bushman guides, mornings spent with the personalities of the desert, the meerkats and visits to historic baobab trees.

The camp is only open in the dry-season (April/May - October)
