Safari Beach Lodge is situated inside the Senga Bay Forest Reserve on the shore of Lake Malawi. Located just a one and half hour's drive from Lilongwe, and with our own private beach, it is the ideal place to relax at the lakeside. Being inside the forest reserve, it is a paradise for bird watching. All kind of small animals can also be easily seen, e.g: monkeys, genet cats, hyrax and small antelopes. You can easily go for a swim, paddle in a canoe or go snorkelling. Sitting on the private beach you will have a beautiful view of the bay with its spectacular sunsets and its local fishermen in their wooden dugout canoes.
You stay in one of the five secluded safari tents, mounted on wooden platforms that overlook the lake from above, or you can choose to stay in one of the two comfortable double rooms. Each of the tents and the rooms has its own private bathroom, electricity and warm water. The range of activities on offer at Safari Beach Lodge, together with the excellent service, the restaurant with its international menu, the possibility of enjoying a drink on the lakeside platform on the rocks, all combine to make Safari Beach Lodge the ideal place to experience Lake Malawi.
