Nestled in the Ol Chorro Losoit valley, Rekero Homes is situated at the foot of Kipileo Hill within the 4,000 acre Rekero Conservancy. Rekero has been operating from this valley for over twenty years and it is the main focus of the community conservation efforts. The Rekero Trust is head quartered here and the computer classroom is available to local communities daily.
Gerard and Rainee Beaton have their family home here and currently have Acacia House available to guests. Future plans include a second house, Leleshwa House, and a swimming pool.
The Rekero Homes concept is ideal for those looking for a longer, more relaxing and affordable safari. Acacia House is currently utilised by many Africa regulars.
Wildlife viewing and bird watching can be done on foot with experienced Il Dorobo and Masai guides, or in custom-built four-wheel drive vehicles which allow intimate yet unobtrusive access to the animals. Walking safaris are available, and because of the Beatons' close association with the local people, fascinating cultural visits to their communities can be arranged.
