St Petersburg Travel
Firmly established as one of the major cultural centres of the world, St Petersburg and most of its principal palaces and museums were all renovated for its 300th anniversary in 2003. Due to commendable building restrictions, there are still relatively few good hotels to choose from, which has traditionally resulted in St Petersburg being an expensive place to visit.
In the last two years, however, the options for St Petersburg travel have improved: we have seen a number of small private bed and breakfast hotels emerge which are excellent and represent very good value in comparison. Alternatively, it is possible to rent very smart, fully renovated, flats for a few days - we have several for varying numbers of guests.
All our itineraries are tailor-made, a suggestion for a St Petersburg travel trip is...
Day 1 Fly London/St Petersburg
Day 2 City tour and Russian Museum
Day 3 Hermitage
Day 4 Catherine's Palace, Pavlovsk, fly London
Prices for a similar itinerary would start from approximately £995
