Princesse Bora is a privately owned eco lodge located in a large palm tree grove at the edge of a lagoon. There are a number of Octagonal villas each spacious with a large wooden terrace, enamelled bathrooms and suspended double bed. The restaurant produces mix of regional culinary delights, influenced by Creole, French and Malagasy specialities. The Princesse Bora Lodge also has a fine collection of French, South African and local wines.

The lodge sits behind a beautiful white beach from where you can take part in a variety of water-based activities such as diving and wake boarding. On land there are all sorts of adventures from quad biking to nature walks or you could even relax in their infinity pool. Princesse Bora is also home to the International Association of Whale Protection, Megaptera. You get the unique opportunity to take part in research with the team, they will take you out on their boats to watch and research the whales. The Whales stay close to Sainte Marie Island between June and September when they come to give birth and bring their young up before heading south.
