Situated in a shady, breezy spot on the shores of the Indian Ocean, Pole Pole is composed of luxury bungalows with wide verandas overlooking the sea. The 5 luxury and 4 "sensation seekers" bungalows are designed to blend in harmoniously with the local environment, being built of local hardwood and raised on stilts.

The atmosphere at Pole Pole is warm and relaxed, living up to its name (Pole Pole is Swahili for slowly, slowly). Service is punctual and personalised. The resort is equipped with its own dive centre, and boat trips are organised every day. Four wheel drive vehicles are also available for expeditions to the north of the island, through the changing landscape of baobab-studded savannah, bush and small fishing villages.
