Peru, Ecuador & The Galapagos Islands Honeymoon Itinerary Day 1Depart London Heathrow to
Lima via Madrid. Stay at the colonial
Country Club in San Isidro.
Day 2Depart Lima to
Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas founded around 1100 AD. Stay at the 300 year old
Hotel Monasterio del Cuzco.
Day 3Enjoy a private day trip to
Chincheros Village in the
Sacred Valley. Here tradition is maintained in the dress of the local farmers and the site itself which includes the walls of an
Inca fortress and palace. Overnight at
Sol y Luna.
Day 4Depart Ollantaytambo at approximately 8:00am by train along the
Urubamba Valley. Arrive at
Aguas Calientes and travel into the mountains to the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu perched at an altitude of 2,380m/7,806ft in the tropical cloud forest. Stay at the
Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel.
Day 5A free morning to explore the area. Return in the afternoon to Cuzco and stay overnight at the
Hotel Monasterio.
Day 6Depart Cuzco to
Quito via Lima. Arrive at the second highest capital in Latin America after La Paz. Stay at
Hotel Patio Andaluz is located in the heart of historic Quito, a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 7Fly to Coca in the Northern Amazon Rainforest. On arrival you will transfer to the port for a two and a half hour motor canoe trip, followed by a dugout canoe ride up the blackwater creek to the lake and
Napo Wildlife Centre.
Days 8 - 9Visit the parrot clay licks with the chance to see caiman, giant otters, anaconda, sloth, lizards, tortoises, hummingbirds, anteater, armadillo, and birds such as toucans, parrots and macaws, plus a wide variety of insects.
Day 10Return to Coca. Overnight at
Patio Andaluz.
Day 11Fly to the
Galapagos some 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean, now a
World Heritage Site. Overnight on your chosen boat.
Days 12 - 17Six days to enjoy the scenery and wildlife of these magical islands, made famous by
Charles Darwin's exploration in 1835.
Day 18Depart Guayaquil on the Iberia flight to Madrid, flying overnight.
Day 19Arrive in London Heathrow.

Thirty-four rustic wooden cabanas are attractively furnished and have an outside porch with two hammocks for relaxing.

Built by the local
Indian community, each of the ten cabanas boasts en suite facilities and private porches overlooking the lake.
The thatched dining room has an adjacent
observation tower while there is a further 120 ft high observation tower located 20 minutes from the lodge. Climbing this, you can pass through the different levels of the forest and emerge on top of the canopy. From the top you can enjoy the view as well as numerous birds and animals including Howler and Spider monkeys, Blue-and-yellow
Macaws, toucans and rare hawks and eagles.
