Old Mondoro Bush Camp, is a joint venture between the owners of Sausage Tree Camp and Chiawa Camp, it is set in a grove of Acacia trees on the banks of the Zambezi River in the Lower Zambezi National Park some 10km downstream from Jeki Airstrip, near the Chakwenga River confluence. It is a beautiful site overlooking a maze of hippo-inhabited islands and channels.

Old Mondoro Bush Camp is in the most beautiful setting in the Lower Zambezi with the camp situated on the smaller channel off the Zambezi with beautiful river frontage that is an ideal location for elephants to wallow, buffalo to graze and home to a wide variety of bird species. Old Mondoro Bush Camp has 4 "bush chalets" with en-suite facilities, flushing toilets, canvas bucket showers and there are paraffin lanterns for lighting. The camp is very basic and there is just one lounge dining area under cover and then an outdoor boma area. Old Mondoro must be booked in conjunction with a stay at Chiawa Camp. Children over 14 years are welcome.
