Old Harbour Hotel exteriorOld Harbour Hotel room
At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin lies the Old Harbour Hotel. Built in Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portugese influences, it was the first hotel of Fort Cochin and is 300 years old.

There are thirteen large rooms that either look into a courtyard with a fountain, the beautiful landscaped gardens or over the local parks of the Old Fort. High ceilings and whitewashed walls create chic space, each room thoughtfully designed and furnished with traditional colonial furniture. There are two garden cottages, both with beautiful al fresco bathrooms.

As you step into the hotel, large ornate archways with detailed pillars exude immense grandeur and create a colonial feel. There is a luxurious sense of space with interesting antiques and hip artwork arrangements to distract you as you breeze through the building or relax in one of the many seating areas.

There is a large pool set in a pretty walled garden, with plenty of trees from which to pull up a lounger and shade from the sun. There is an Ayurvedic spa and complimentary yoga sessions during high season. Old Harbour Hotel is ideally situated from which to explore Fort Cochin surroundings.
