Nkwali Camp is built on Robin Pope's private land on the banks of the Luangwa River, overlooking the National Park. The land is superb game country, with a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grass plains. It is the ideal place to start your Luangwa Safari, being only 45 minutes from the airport. The rooms at Nkwali Camp are airy and cool with open-air en suite bathrooms, made of woven bamboo and thatch. The bar is built around an enormous ebony tree and the separate dining area overlooks a small lagoon, which often attracts elephants and Bushbuck down to drink. Access into the park is by pontoon, boat or over the bridge.

Nkwali camp prides itself for great cuisine and exceptional service. Activities include walks, drives and night drives with expert guides and armed scouts. The drives are conducted in open vehicles for great bush experiences.
