Spectacled Bear sighting near Quito
Spectacled Bears, creatures which are notoriously hard to see, have made an appearance in Maquipucuna Reserve to the North of Quito. This family of bears tend to wander into the reserve every couple of years and normally spend about two months. Though there are no guarantees, for the next few weeks the chances of seeing the only species of South American bear (of which Paddington Bear was one) has considerably increased.
