Ecuador - New Museum
The fantastic pre-Hispanic world is presented in an innovative way at Quito's recently opened  Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. The beautifully restored Casa del Alabado, houses the 500 pieces of pre-Hispanic artifacts dating back to 4000 years BC.  The exhibits have been carefully selected to reflect the magnitude of the way of thinking, the aesthetic richness and the essence of the peoples who inhabited what is now Ecuador.

Peru - 5* Hotel Opens
Named after the after the archaeological complex of the Mochica culture ‘Sol y Barro Huaca de la Luna Sanctuary Lodge’ in Trujillo is the first five start Boutique hotel in La Libertad region, in Peru's North Coast. Only 15 minutes from Trujillo town centre and 20 minutes from the airport it is ideally situated, close to the new Huaca de la Luna site museum.  The hotel decoration is based on motifs from ancient Moche culture, harmonizing with the environment.

Chile - Rain Festival
To re-invigorate winter tourism in Chile, for the second year, the Tourism Development Corporation of Puerto Cara will host a celebration of the Winter Solstice. Held in between 18th and 28th June 2010, the festival involves he whole city, complete with parades of floats and competitions.  The idea is to position Puerto Varas as a destination for the entire year. The City of Roses has the highest number of five-star hotels after Santiago and a exquisite gastronomy, awarded the best regional cuisine by Culinary Critics Circle.
