Preparations are underway for Botswana's biggest performing arts festival which kicks off next month.
The Maitisong Festival sees thousands flock to the capital city, Gaborone, to take part in numerous activities from dance to drama and singing.
Well-known for its love of entertainment, Botswana comes to life during the month long event with local people setting up stalls along the streets of the city to refresh revellers.
The festival is held in two parts, one of which is a free programme of outdoor events ranging from theatre, music and dance performances.
These take place at a number of different locations in the city and are usually a vibrant mix of modern and traditional events.
There is also an indoor festival which has an entrance fee and takes place in Maitisong and the Little Theatre at the National Museum. Here, visitors can enjoy entertainment from some of the continent's best known artists.
This year, Botswana will welcome performers from Mauritius, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the UK.
