Worldwide+celebrations+mark+100+days+to+Beijing+Olympics++

With just 100 days to go until the long-awaited 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing kick off, China and the rest of the world is already celebrating.

The Olympic torch has now made its way across the world and landed safely on Chinese soil where it will remain until the sporting event begins on August 8th.

A number of events are being held across the country to mark the milestone including a fun-run at two of the Games' venues and the unveiling of this year's Olympics theme tune.

And it seems that not just China is celebrating today, with Brazil also taking the opportunity to stage a party.

Revelers in San Paulo, Brazil's biggest city, headed into the urban hub's Liberty Plaza where they enjoyed a number of China-related activities.

These included traditional dances, a show using Chinese tambourines and a parade of people in full traditional Chinese dress.

Daniel Guth, of Sao Paulo's Department of Culture and Sport, told China's Xinhua news agency: "We want to bring a little of China to Brazil."ADNFCR-1391-ID-18576851-ADNFCR
