Mwaleshi Camp is the sister camp to Tafika and the transfer between the two camps takes six hours in an open 4WD vehicle. It is also possible to fly halfway to Mwaleshi Camp and reduce the transfer time to three hours. Mwaleshi is a charming bush camp set on the banks of the Mwaleshi River. Accommodation is in three grass chalets with a central dining area overlooking the river. There are two shared bush showers, one flush toilet and one long drop toilet.

The Mwaleshi River is shallow enough to paddle and 'swim' in without danger from hippos and crocodiles. The emphasis is on walking, although game drives by day and night are possible. Day trips from Mwaleshi Camp to the escarpment can also be arranged. A minimum of four guests guarantees a departure and there is a minimum stay of three nights. The animals are plentiful but unused to humans so are shy and hence this camp is recommended as a combination with another camp in South Luangwa.
