Mushara Lodge is located only eight kilometres from the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern outskirts of the Etosha National Park. The name Mushara derives from the Purple Pod Terminalia tree, which grows in abundance in the lodge grounds and surrounding area.
Mushara Lodge was renovated in August 2005 resulting in a warm African theme throughout the lodge. The ten well-spaced thatched double chalets are located around the swimming pool, each is extremely spacious and luxurious. Mushara also offers a family house, designed specifically for groups with younger children. Great attention to fine detail is manifest in ostrich shell chandeliers and porcupine quill candle holders creating an eclectic blend of traditional African and modern interiors at Mushara Lodge. The thatched main area consists of a small library, a bar with an extensive wine cellar, airy lounge with welcoming fireplace for chilly winter evenings, dining area and well stocked curio shop. During the summer months meals are enjoyed on the covered terrace.
The latest additions to the Mushara property are two exclusive villas offering complete privacy with world class luxury, cuisine and owner-managed hospitality
