A World Heritage site, the Mana Pools Park straddles old channels and pools of the Zambezi River, scattered over an area of some 2,000 sq miles. Its thick riverine vegetation attracts a vast profusion of animals and bird life and, as the number of lodges and tented camps are carefully restricted, the best way to explore this magnificent area is by canoe safari. The sensation of slowly gliding past the colourful colonies of birds, whilst watching elephant swim over to reed covered islands, is indescribable. It is one of the few places in Africa where you are likely to see elephant go up on their hind legs to reach the greatly favoured pods of the acacia trees.
Chikwenya is a luxury-tented lodge set in a beautiful position in Mana Pools National Park.
Ruckomechi Camp is situated in a large grove of Acacia and Mahogany trees overlooking the Zambezi River with a superb view of the mountains of Africa's Great Rift Valley.
Vundu Tented Camp, situated in the middle of Mana Pools National Park has plenty of old style charm and offers a total bush camp experience. Being a private camp it is the perfect place for small groups to experience an adventure entirely of your own
