La Paz, the highest capital in the world at 3,500m, is also one of the most spectacular. Surrounded by magnificent snow-covered peaks, the city's setting is both dramatic and breathtaking. Here the traditional mixes seemlessly with the 21st century. Bowler-hatted orange juice vendors, a witches' market selling llama foetus and the beautiful colonial cathedral can be seen alongside international business centres, airline headquarters and the legendry San Pedro Prison. Several museums offer an insight into Bolivia's colonial and indigenous past, as do the houses on Calle Jaen, the Plaza San Francisco and the Congresso Nacional.
This hotel has spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains, which surround La Paz.
situated in downtown La Paz near the commercial and Historical centre and within walking distance of many of the main tourist attractions.
