With only eight permanent lodges or camps within its 5,700-square mile area, Kusini Camp affords some of the most exclusive game viewing to be found anywhere. In its own little pocket of this paradise, Kusini has been referred to as "your own private Serengeti." Kusini Camp is set in the south-central area of the Serengeti, among an impressive "archipelago" of the distinctive rock outcrops known as kopjes. Neighbouring habitats range from short grass plains traversed by huge herds of zebra and gazelle, to the central valleys hunted by lion and cheetah.
While game viewing here is always impressive, Kusini Camp's privileged and removed location becomes even more apparent during Tanzania's fabled wildebeest migration. Directly in its path, your close, private point of view further enhances the drama of this once-in-a-lifetime natural spectacle. Each tent is very secluded, with its own view and is cleverly hidden from its neighbours. The mess tent is sheltered by a large Albizia almeria tree facing south west over the Acacia woodland. A perfect place for relaxation.
