Sirikoi is a relatively new addition to the Laikipia range family run lodges, but has already gained a reputation as being able to hold its own. Recently awarded Ecotourism Kenyas 2015 Eco-rated lodge of the year, Sirikoi has excellent credentials.
Each of the large tented rooms are perfectly positioned to make the most of the views, with the spacious designs allowing armchair game viewing with a coffee in the morning or on the decking outside, with beautiful views across the lawns to the waterholes.
The fire places help keep the chill at bay during the night, but the open design of the tents allow for the cool breeze during the day. The clever combination of stone, thatch and tented material gives the lodge a much lighter feel than some of the heavier, darker stone ranches nearby, without compromising on comfort. There is also a separate Sirikoi Cottage, designed exclusively for families or friends travelling together.
Why We Like It
Combing old world colonial charm, with a fresher, lighter architecture, Sirikoi offers the best of both worlds with a warmth that comes from the lodge also being the owner’s home.
