Campi ya Kanzi

The camp is located on a Masai ranch that covers an area of a quarter of a million acres, with fantastic biodiversity stretching from the Chyulu Hills to the foothills of Kilimanjaro.

The ranch is surrounded by the Chyulus, Tsavo and Amboseli National Parks. Guests can view game on foot with an experienced local Masai guide, or in four wheel drive vehicles. The excellent staff and hosts offer an authentic safari experience that makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time. Luca grew up hunting in East Africa and now has turned his focus towards conservation. He and Antonella offer excellent Italian, European, and African cuisine as well as some of the warmest hospitality in all of Africa. Accommodation is in permanent tents built on wooden platforms with thatched roofs.

Why We Like It

Campi Ya Kanzi is translated as "camp of the hidden treasures" in Kiswahili and it is easy to see why. Not only does the camp occupy one of Kenya's most spectacular settings the property is equally as impressive for its commitment to working with the local community, whom own and run the camp. Activities at Campi ya Kanzi are very special ranging from candlie lit dinners in a nearby cave and private air safaris over the surrounding landscape, including an early morning Kilimanjaro flight.
