Spend a week on holiday in the Masai Mara, staying at luxury bush camps located in the Mara's finest conservancies.
Be warned – the Masai Mara can get under the skin.It could be the sweeping plains, the flat topped acacias and the prolific wildlife that call’s this majestic landscape home. Then again it could be the breath taking sunsets or the soft, golden light that bathes the plains at the start of every day in the Mara. Or maybe it is the Maasai and the sense of pride they understandably show in their beloved homeland. As with most magical places, it isn’t one element that makes the Masai Mara so special but a combination of all these things that mean one visit is rarely enough.
For the quintessential safari experience, spend 3 nights at Kicheche Mara Camp combined with 3 nights at Kicheche Bush Camp or Kicheche Valley Camp. Kicheche is renowned for offering an unbeatable luxury bush camp experience without compromising on comfort. Expect first class food and service and most important of all, exceptional guiding in the Mara’s highly regarded conservancies. Kicheche’s camps are located in protected areas of the Masai Mara where vehicle numbers are strictly controlled to ensure a high quality wildlife experience without the crowds.

The Masai Mara is an iconic safari destination. Famous for countless wildlife documentaries, the wildlife viewing here remains the best in Africa. Over the course of a few days, it is possible to see almost every animal indigenous to the region, with notable highlights being the well-established prides of big cats and the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest, one of the world's most spectacular wildlife events. There is always something to see and every month can offer spectacular wildlife drama - the open plains and endless skies are a photographer's dream. Adjoining the Serengeti in Tanzania and forming the northern end of the great migration ecosystem, this is the traditional land of the Maasai people. A visit also offers a chance to encounter this nomadic tribe, who offer a fascinating cultural dimension to the area. Everybody has an opinion on the Mara, but it remains the best place in Africa for consistently superb big game viewing and should not be missed.
On arrival you will experience your first game drive to the camp.
You will be staying at Kicheche Mara Camp, All inclusive
Game DriveEarly morning and late afternoon are the most productive hours for game drives and the safari customised 4WD vehicles give everyone a perfect view. Watching wildlife at close range, but without encroaching on their space, is endlessly fascinating and the guides’ instincts and experience provide superb photo opportunities of wild animals. Picnic breakfasts, lunches and sundowner drinks are popular options to include on game drives
Game WalkA different perspective is gained through escorted walks on the savannah. Safety is paramount when leaving camp on foot so all walks are escorted by an armed ranger. Our interpretive guides will point out the spoor of a leopard, the nest of a rare bird or signs of recent migration activity that would pass unnoticed from the back of a vehicle.Alternatively visit a local Maasai Villages to see first hand their way of life.
Game drive to your next camp

Game WalkKicheche Bush Camp now offers escorted walking safaris, combined with fly camping in the bush for one night. This provides an outstanding opportunity to see the Mara from a completely different perspective, as well as some welcome exercise whilst on safari. (Supplement applies for fly camping).
