Kamchatka Kamchatka

Kamchatka coastlineKamchatka volcano
Hanging off the east coast of Russia, this inhospitable but beautiful wilderness has a backbone of some 120 volcanoes of which several are still active. September is the best month to visit as the trees and undergrowth take on their startling autumn colours. Visit the Inuit communities, trek through the volcanoes climbing to the rim, bathe in the sulphur springs in the valley of geysers and watch huge bears gorging themselves on the plentiful salmon in the rivers. Kamchatka is only for the intrepid, but it remains one of the last truly unspoilt areas on earth. As well as land-based exploration of this vast wilderness, we also offer a range of expeditionary cruises along Kamchatka's jagged coast.

An excellent way to access the best of Kamchatka's rich wildlife and fascinating maritime history. For further details of this cruises and departure dates, please click here for Kamchatka & The Kuril Islands cruise.
