Kalmatia Sangam Himalaya Resort is a boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the Kumaon hills in Uttaranchal. Today the estate and resort are presided over by the descendants of the original owners, Geeta Reeb and her German husband Dieter.

At an elevation of 2000m, this gem of a place comprises a collection of cottages spread around the hillside. Surrounded by a vast array of flora and fauna, the cottages are colonial in style but with contemporary Indian touches. They are all comfortable, different and what is so magical about them is each has the most magnificent view of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Based from Kalmatia you can experience some wonderfully unexploited areas, enjoy spending the night in nearby village houses or for the more intrepid, trek up to Nanda Devi, Indias highest Himalayan Mountain. This is a wonderful place to come at the end or beginning of a tour for those who want something a little bit different and combines well with Corbett National Park or the Ananda Spa.
