Taking the office to Beirut was an unreserved success. It is rare that you can take 18 differing personalities to one destination and all to come back saying they had a very good time, even more rare that they had an excellent time.

Belize

Jungle, so much glorious jungle, spreading from the border with Guatemala in the east to the coast of the Caribbean Sea. Belize has millions of acres of protected rainforest that is teeming with wildlife of the most exciting kind.

Classic China

From The Great Wall of China undulating across the North of the country to the 2000 year old Army of Terracotta Warriors, there are many "must see attractions" in this vast and amazing country.

Lake Baikal and Irkutsk

There is only one place to stay, run by the ex Soviet Union table tennis champion, but he does not tell you that until after you have played him.

Patagonia

I visited the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is a staggering 5 kilometres wide and 70 metres high. I was lucky enough to see huge chunks of ice come crashing down into Lago Argentino - a spectacular sight.

South West China

Their smiles, laughter and looks of astonishment were in stark contrast to their serious faces the following day when I returned to see them all dressed in crimson robes, squatting on the floor, rocking back and forth, chanting...

Sri Lanka

Even though the damage caused by the Tsunami is obvious on the South and West coasts everywhere is clean and organised and daily life continues. I was delighted to say that the people of Sri Lanka have retained their love of life.
