The Hotel Jose Nogueira is one of Patagonia's oldest and most majestic buildings and located overlooking the main square is a Chilean National Monument. Rich in history it was originally built by Senor Jose Nogueira and his wife Sara Braun, who were leading lights in the region in the 19 Century having accumulated considerable wealth through the wool boom. The hotel has 22 en-suite rooms of differing sizes, all finely decorated with imported antiques, including 3 sumptuous suites. The hotel also boasts what must be the world's most southerly vine in The Orangerie, where the restaurant is located.
