Impalila Lodge Impalila Lodge

Impalila Island LodgeImpalila Bedroom
Impalila Island is the only island that is situated where four countries meet and where two rivers confluence. Officially set in Namibia, it can be reached from Botswana.

An idyllic setting, the architecture of Impalila Lodge incorporates wood, thatch and giant baobab trees - offering a protective cradle of arms to our island refuge. Eight en suite chalets of comfort are decorated in the rich colours of Africa - it is difficult not to sleep deeply when lulled by the sound of the Mambova rapids.

Each chalet at Impalila Lodge offers uninterrupted river views and privacy. The Chobe River and fertile flood plains are home to an immeasurable heritage of wild animals and game viewing by boat is infinitely rewarding and preferable at sunset! The lagoons, channels and rapids of the Zambezi and Chobe rivers, which surround Impalila Island, provide wonderful fishing opportunities for traditional and fly fishing enthusiasts. Activities also include walking, bird watching and trips to the local villages. Impalila Lodge has to be seen to be believed.
