The Iguazu Falls are on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, it is where the Iguazú River plunges and crashes 80 metres in 275 different falls. The name Iguazú Falls means 'Big Water' in the local Guaraní language.
The falls can be accessed from both the Bazilian town of Foz do Iguaco or the Argentinean town of Puerto Iguazu. The Brazilian side gives the grand overview whilst the Argentine side gives a closer look. It is very easy to visit both sides of the falls. The thunderous roar of crashing water and the multicoloured mist, which rises above the falls, is natural beauty and grandeur at its best.
Hotel das Cataratas is located on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, within the National Park boundaries.
