The Hout Bay Manor, built in 1871, is renowned as one of Cape Town's most graceful landmarks. The recently restored Hout Bay Manor offers 21 individually designed en suite rooms and a sophisticated fine dining restaurant named 'Pure' where all meals are designed exclusively with the finest local ingredients sourced by the Executive Chef.

Hout Bay Manor, protected by century old oak trees, was built from stone (600mm thick walls) and in traditional Cape Colonial style by Jacob Trautmann on an unspoilt piece of land, which had previously been part of the Kronendal Estate. 2006 saw the start of an 18 month refurbishment that was completed in October 2007 to recapture the charm and beauty of this original home, in a vibrant African culture style. The breathtaking Pavilion is now a contemporary fine dining restaurant, named 'Pure', under the auspices of German born Executive Chef Alexander Mueller.
