Within a short walking distance of Arms Square in the old town you will find Hotel Florida tucked away amidst small art galleries and attractive museums.

This stately colonial building, built in 1836 opened as a hotel in 1885. The architectural splendour of this era still reigns in the Hotel Florida, from the colonial balconies to the interior courtyards complete with archways and stained glass windows.

Hotel Florida has 25 well-equipped rooms, all tastefully decorated in a colonial style and with a 'unique' plumbing system. There are excellent people watching opportunities from the rooms that open out over the street, but they can be a bit noisy.
