Honduras Holidays

One of the five original Central American Provinces, Honduras is a fascinating country with a colourful history, varied landscape and charming population. Despite its turbid past of Mayan conflicts, pirates, Spanish colonialism, military rulers and even a Football War, travel to Honduras and you will find a new and exciting holiday destination. Bordered by Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador, the northern Caribbean coast is dotted with beautiful beach islands and to the south is a relatively deserted Pacific shoreline.

The interior of the country is divided by a striking central mountain range that is cut by fast flowing rivers, but gives way to lowland plains and fertile valleys that are cultivated with banana and tobacco plantations. The population is a mix of Indian, Spanish and Carib, which ensures for an even more interesting blend of culture, religion and cuisine.
