As long as man has travelled the oceans, whales have been entwined in folklore. Evoking a sense of mystery, their sheer size appears to contradict their majectic lifestyles and gentle nature. It is an incredibly thrilling sight to see whales in the wild and although sightings cannot be guaranteed, there are certainly 'hotspots' worldwide which offer the best whale spotting opportunities.
