The Hacienda San José Cholul was built in the early 1800s and focused on cattle raising and later sisal production. Restoration began in 1996 trying to recover the architectural characteristics of this sisal era.

Today the Hacienda San José Cholul offers 11 luxury rooms furnished in a simple but stylish manner that brings out the beauty of the natural materials - warm wooden beds, smooth ceramic basins and cool tile floors. Each room is equipped with cable TV, air-conditioning, mini-bar and direct dial telephone.
