Built in 1921 the Hacienda Chichen became the Carnagie Institutes Mayan expedition Headquarters in the Yucatan. The hotel has recently been re-modelled to serve as guest rooms.

The cottages of Hacienda Chichen are well appointed with their own private terraces and the hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool, pool side patio and terrace gardens. Hacienda Chichen is located within easy walking distance of the famous Chichen Itza ruins the most extensively restored archaeological site in the area.
