Galapagos Cruise in Celebration of Charles Darwin's 200th Birthday
7th to 17th June 2009In celebration of Charles Darwin's 200th birthday, set sail on The Beagle to rediscover these enchanted islands, accompanied by Randal Keynes, Great-Great-Grandson of Charles Darwin.
This is a unique 10 day cruise in the Galapagos Islands visiting the islands that Charles Darwin visited back in 1835.
You will be cruising aboard The Beagle, a magnificent, fully air conditioned, deluxe, 105 foot steel hulled schooner with teak deck and comfortable interior. The Beagle has 6 double cabins with upper/lower berths, each with private bathrooms.
The Beagle's owners have placed the highest priorities on comfortable and spacious accommodation, with ample open and shaded deck space while you can dine in the homelike salon or on deck. The crew offer a very high standard of personal service, with a multi-lingual naturalist guide licensed by The Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Research Station.
The trip is accompanied by Randal Keynes, Great-Great-Grandson of Charles Darwin. Randal Keynes is an active supporter of the conservation of the Galapagos Islands and works closely with the researchers and scientists at the Charles Darwin Research Station on the island of Santa Cruz. His main focus currently is the project to restore the historic habitats of the island of Floreana and rescue the Floreana Mockingberd.
Estimated cost: £3,680 per person plus £345 per person flight tax

Cost includes: Return flight from UK, internal flights, local transport and excursions, accommodation and board as described, one year's membership to the Galapagos Conservation trust, and a contribution to the Charles Darwin Reearch Foundation.
Cost excludes: entrance charges to sites, parks and museums, extra local excursions and guided tours, international and domestic airport taxes, travel insurance, visas and items of a personal nature.
